Head of Frontier Markets
Hifza is the lead Portfolio Manager for the Frontier Markets strategy. She has been a Senior Investment Analyst covering Frontier Asian equity markets at Silk Invest since she joined the firm in 2015. She previously worked at Burj Bank Limited, First National Equities and Lakson Investments Ltd. Hifza holds an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (Karachi) and is also a Junior Associate at the Institute of Bankers Pakistan. Hifza is a Pakistani national and is based in Karachi.
Head of Investment Solutions & Liquid Alternatives
Peter serves as the Head of Investment Solutions and Liquid Alternatives Strategies for Silk Invest and joined the company in 2017. Prior to Silk, Peter held senior positions at OFI Asset Management as a Fund of Funds portfolio manager and analyst over a 12 year tenure at the firm. At OFI, Peter’s focus was primarily on Emerging markets, Commodities and Real assets portfolios. He holds a Master’s degree in European Banking and Finance from the University of Toulouse I and is a CAIA Charter holder. Peter is a French and Bulgarian national and he is based in London.
Senior Analyst, Middle East & North African Equity
Mohamed joined the company in 2009 and serves as a Senior analyst in Silk Invest’s MENA equities investment team. Before joining Silk Invest, he worked for Inertia Investment, Deloitte, Saleh, Barsoum & Abdel Aziz and the Egyptian American Securities Brokerage. Mohamed is an AIMR CFA charter Level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program. He graduated with honours from the Ain Shams University with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting. Mohamed is an Egyptian National and is based in Cairo.
Portfolio Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa
Adele joined Silk Invest in 2009 as a portfolio analyst. She now oversees Sub-Sahran African equity investments and serves as the Portfolio Manager of the Emerging Africa Bond Fund. Before joining Silk Invest, she worked at Renaissance Capital, Berkshire Securities, JP Morgan and Credit Suisse. Adele holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University. She is a Kenyan national and is based in Nairobi.
